Material Selection Report For Escravos - Lagos Pipeline System Phase III Midline Compressor Project
GPS (Global Process Systems) assigned Velosi for the “Consultancy Services for Material Selection Study for ESCRAVOS – LAGOS Pipeline System Phase III Midline Compressor Project.”
The main objective of this project is to provide the basis for materials selection, establish the materials selection, and identify relevant corrosion control measures based on the process conditions and credible damage mechanisms for the piping, vessels, and tanks under the ESCRAVOS-LAGOS Pipeline System Phase III Midline Compressor Project scope to attain the stated design life, reliability, and safety.
As a result, Velosi developed the Material Selection Philosophy and Material Selection Diagrams for the ESCRAVOS-LAGOS Pipeline System Phase III Midline Compressor Project. The construction material has been selected for a design life of 20 Years for the Compressor Stations (CS1 and CS2). The materials selection results are validated through the corrosion rates prediction assessment by approved software Electronic Corrosion Engineer, ECE Version 5.7 and VAIL-Plant Software for process piping streams as per available process information shown for each piping stream.
Velosi executed the following deliverables:
- Development for Material Selection Methodology
- Identifying Potential Degradation Mechanisms
- Corrosion modeling for the piping, pressure vessels, and drain/blowdown
- Development of Material Selection Diagrams
- Material Selection Study Report
