Velosi’s Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST®) exam preparation training prepares participants to perform critical occupational hygiene and safety tasks, such as worksite assessments, hazard evaluation, and emergency response planning. It is ideal for professionals working in industries like oil and gas, manufacturing, and construction, whether on a full-time or part-time basis. The training focuses on practical application, risk management, and incident investigation, helping participants gain the competency needed to pass the OHST® certification exam and advance their safety careers.

Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technicians (OHST) are individuals who perform occupational hygiene and safety activities on a full-time or part-time basis as part of their job duties. Individuals who hold the OHST certificate may work for private entities, public entities, government agencies, or the military. These organizations may be in oil and gas extraction, manufacturing, construction, or consultative services for safety, hygiene, and environmental fields. Positions vary from manager level to technician level or consultant level. This may be a good certification as a precursor to higher-level industrial hygiene certifications.

• Learn to assess worksite risks, hazards, and control measures.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting. Meeting invites will be shared one day before the first day of training.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with at least 35% of job duties in safety and health.
• Commitment to the BCSP Code of Ethics.

• Complete the OHST® application and eligibility requirements.
• Register for the exam through Pearson VUE testing centers.
• Pass the four-hour, 200-question exam.
• Maintain certification through ongoing professional development (20 points every five years).
