Lockout-tagout (LOTO) is a safety procedure which outlines the steps which must be taken to disable machinery or equipment that could release energy or start unexpectedly during servicing or maintenance activities. LOTO procedures safeguard workers who may be exposed to serious physical harm or death if energy is not controlled. To ensure that LOTO procedures are understood and followed, all employees must be trained in the safe application, usage and removal of these energy control devices.

This Velosi Lockout Tagout (LOTO) training course ensures that staff members involved in the servicing or maintenance of industrial equipment understand the importance of energy control and know how to apply energy isolation and Lockout Tagout procedures to prevent the release of potentially hazardous energy while the maintenance and servicing activities are being performed.

By completing this course, participants will be able to:

• understand the responsibilities of workers, supervisors, and employers in controlling hazardous energy,
• identify requirements and procedures for locking and tagging out machines and equipment, and
• follow LOTO procedures in their day to day work.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.

Upon successful completion of training, participants will receive a “Lockout Tagout Course Completion” certificate.

This course is designed for maintenance officers who carry out service or maintenance work on industrial equipment or machinery.
