The oil and gas drilling industry is undergoing rapid changes and drilling is a crucial and costly component of the oil and gas industry. For efficient productivity drilling operations must confront and solve extremely difficult technical, safety, and control problems.

Velosi’s Drilling & Formation Damage Training course is constructed to provide participants with an up-to-date overview of the practical applications of oil and gas drilling techniques. The course covers drilling programming, well control planning, types of drilling (deviated, horizontal, and multilateral), drill bit selection and hydraulics, drilling fluid programs, casing and cement operations, well control operations, drilling problem-solving, well completion, and reporting procedures.

By the end of this course, participants will learn to:

• Understand the basics of drilling optimization and well planning.
• Apply the key concepts and techniques of drilling optimization.
• Evaluate and select appropriate drilling technologies and equipment.
• Develop and implement drilling plans.
• Identify and analyze different ways to mitigate drilling risks. Develop cost-effective strategies.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting. Meeting invites will be shared one day before the first day of training.
