Risk Based Inspection (RBI) and Remaining Life Assessment (RLA) for the 18” Pipeline Connecting Hail Site Terminal (HST) & Mubarraz Island (MUB)
Scope
The scope of work includes conducting Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) for the 18” pipeline connecting Hail Site Terminal (HST) and Mubarraz Island (MUB), defining inspection frequencies for pipeline pig launcher and pipeline pig receiver. Further, implementing permanent remedial actions for the identified non-conforming welding repair procedures on 18 pieces of line pipes to address potential Sulfide Stress Crack (SSC).
Process
A strict methodology was implemented while conducting Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) for the 18” pipeline connecting Hail Site Terminal (HST) and Mubarraz Island (MUB). A risk assessment was performed to evaluate Sulfide Stress Crack (SSC) possibility, confirming current operational integrity but mandating long-term permanent remedial action.
Outcome
Velosi’s team of expert individuals successfully performed activities under the scope of work assigned.
