Mari Energies Adopts AI-based VAIL-Plant® Software (Asset Integrity & Inspection Management System) for Streamlined Asset Integrity and Operational Excellence
Scope
Recently, Mari Energies aimed to enhance the integrity, performance, and safety of its critical assets by implementing a comprehensive VAIL-Plant® Software (Asset Integrity Management System) at its SGPC Facility in Daharki, Pakistan. The pilot project focused on digitizing asset data, improving inspection and maintenance planning, and integrating advanced risk assessment tools into a centralized software platform.
Process
A Comprehensive approach was set to ensure all essential components integral to the project scope were included.
- Supply and implementation of VAIL-Plant®software with required modules for asset integrity management.
- Development of a centralized database for design, inspection, maintenance, and operational data.
- Integration of the following VAIL-Plant® software modules:
- PEMS(Pressurized Equipment Management System)
- PSVMS(Pressure Safety Valves Management System)
- PIMSON(Pipeline Integrity Management System – Onshore)
- EIRMS(Electrical, Instrumentation & Rotary Management System)
- CPMS(Cathodic Protection Management System)
- APMS(Asset Performance Management System)
- ISMS(Inspection Schedule Management System)
- Integration with SAP for extracting Equipment Master data.
- GIS/Google Maps integration for spatial visibility of assets.
- Uploading of historical data including inspection reports, design files, drawings, and operational records.
- Provision of technical and user manuals for all modules.
- Deployment of a dedicated resource at site for ongoing support and data updates.
- Training sessions, including online and onsite training sessions.
Outcome
Velosi’s team of expert individuals successfully developed and implemented a comprehensive VAIL-Plant® Software (Asset Integrity Management System).
The Project was a successful completion, which not only met but exceeded client expectations and executed the following:

- Corrosion rates, remaining life, failures, leakages, overdue inspections/actions
