Velosi was assigned by TR Abu Dhabi for Front End Engineering & Design Services of Refinery Off Gases Recovery Project

Scope

The objective of the Project is to install suitable technology to recover Hydrogen, Ethane rich gas and sales Grade C3 & C4 from the refinery off gases of the various units in Ruwais Refinery which are currently being utilized as Fuel Gas.

Process

A strict methodology was implemented to conduct Corrosion Risk Assessment Study (CRAS). The team perform CRAS to evaluate and understand the potential risks and impacts of corrosion to assess the likelihood, consequences, and overall risk of failure by corrosion related mechanisms assessed in this study. The CRAS acts as a verification of the material selections and corrosion control measures proposed. It assists optimization of methods and levels of corrosion mitigation during operations.

Outcome

Velosi’s team of expert individuals successfully performed activities under the scope of work assigned.

Deliverables

Team Velosi developed the following deliverables:

  • Corrosion Loop Drawings for Scope of the study
  • CRAS Register for the complete project scope and corrosion loops
  • CRAS Report for the study which is done
