Velosi Asset Integrity Limited is delighted to announce a new contract awarded by Emirates Steel for the full-scale implementation of its VAIL-PLANT® Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) software for Asset Integrity Management.
Under the contract, Velosi will implement a structured, API 580/581-compliant RBI system to manage pressure equipment and associated assets across Emirates Steel’s manufacturing operations, transitioning the organization from manual inspection processes to a fully automated risk-based methodology, improving reliability, safety, and inspection efficiency.
Velosi’s scope of delivery will be comprehensive. From system configuration to asset hierarchy setup, the proprietary VAIL-Plant® software will integrate three core modules: APMS (Asset Performance Management), PEMS (Pressurized Equipment Management), and ISMS (Inspection Scheduling Management Strategy).
Upon completion, Emirates Steel will have a centralized, fully automated asset integrity system that delivers real-time risk visibility, optimized inspection intervals, and strengthened compliance with international RBI standards.
Scope of Work
- Deployment and configuration of VAIL-Plant® RBI software.
- Development of System Requirements Specification (SRS).
- Installation within the client’s IT infrastructure and database setup.
- Configuration of asset hierarchy, corrosion loops, and damage mechanisms.
- Implementation of API 581-based POF and COF calculations with 5×5 risk matrix.
- Data migration and validation of historical inspection data.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Go-Live support.
- End-user training and post-implementation technical support.
- Implementation of the following modules of VAIL-Plant®:
- APMS(Asset Performance Management System)
- PEMS(Pressurized Equipment Management System)
- ISMS(Inspection Scheduling Management Strategy)
