Failure Modes, Effects and Critical Analysis (FMECA)
Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) is an augmentation of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), in which the failure modes are categorized according to their urgencies, including the integrated measure of the seriousness of a failure mode and its possibility of occurrence.
At Velosi, FMECA, along with Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis, methodologies are used to review as many components, assemblies and subsystems as possible to recognize possible failure modes in a system, their causes and effects.

Failure Effects.
Development of Risk Matrix for Safety, Environment and Economy.
Influencing factors/ causes/ maintainable items.
Generic Failure Data.
Primary and Secondary Functions
Total or Partials Functional Failures
Failure Characteristic (age or not age-related failures).
Failure Classification (Hidden or evident).
Failure Criticality on Safety, Environment, Production and Capital.
Benefits of FMECA
Identifies potential failure modes for a product or process.
Assesses the risk associated with those failure modes.
Ranks the issues in terms of importance.
Detects and carries out preventive actions to address the most serious concerns.
