Equipment Bill of Materials- BOM
An Equipment Bill of Material (BOM) can make a list of all the components of an asset, containing its assemblies and subassemblies. In an emergency situation, the BOM provides valuable information to an industry expert to assure that the right parts are recognized and procured.
Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) have the capability to build Bills of Materials (BOMs) for any equipment, components needed for a piece of equipment, or assets. Asset-intensive industries, especially oil and gas, can benefit from equipment or asset BOMs.

Benefits of BOM:
Helps to achieve better maintenance planning.
Reduces unplanned downtime.
Streamlines Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) inventory requirements.
BOM Deliverables:
Bill of Material (BOM)
Minimum and Maximum Stock Levels of Spare Parts
Re-Order Point of Spare Parts
