We are seeking a skilled Design Instrument and Control (I&C) Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. You will be responsible for designing and developing instrumentation and control systems for a range of industrial projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering

Key responsibilities

  • Develop detailed design documentation for instrumentation and control systems, including P&IDs, Instrument Index, IO list, Specifications, Datasheets, Cable Schedule, Cable Routing diagrams, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and control philosophies.
  • Select appropriate instrumentation and control equipment based on project specifications.
  • Interface with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, process) to integrate control systems into the overall project design.
  • Specify and review DCS, PLC, SCADA, and field instrumentation components.
  • Perform calculations for control valve sizing, flow measurement, and signal transmission.
  • Prepare technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
  • Ensure designs comply with international codes, standards (e.g., IEC, ISA), and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of ADNOC Standards.

As our ideal candidate, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering.
  • [3+] years of relevant experience in instrumentation and control design.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD etc.) and engineering software.
  • Familiarity with control systems (PLC/DCS), fieldbus systems, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Strong understanding of process control systems and safety instrumentation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
