Velosi is conducting Fire Marshal Training

Fire Marshal Training is aimed at making you acquire preventive measures that will reduce the causes or prevent fire or fire hazards from occurring within your workplace, as well as equip you with proper emergency and evacuation in case of fire and prevent the loss of life and property through fire.

Velosi’s training course will educate the attendees and, in turn, give them viable ways and means of prevention and reporting the cases of fire and fire risks, as well as controlling or eradicating their causes altogether.

This course is designed to provide key safety measures you can take to avoid fire in your homes and at the place of work, besides making you understand how to use a fire extinguisher. Fire extinguishers are our first and primary means of combating destruction; everyone must know how to use them and realize their inefficiency. However, firefighting does not start and end with an extinguisher, though this is a useful tool in fighting fire. It involves understanding how to prevent fire incidents in your house and at work, as well as being cautious when faced with any risk.

By the end of this course, participants will learn to:

• Understand relevant fire safety laws, regulations, and guidelines that a fire marshal must adhere to.
• Develop skills to identify potential fire hazards, evaluate risks, and implement control measures.
• Understand how to plan, coordinate, and execute effective evacuation strategies in case of fire.
• Gain knowledge on how to properly use fire extinguishers, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and other fire safety devices.
• Carry out the best practices for reducing likelihood of fire outbreaks in the workplace or public spaces.
• Understand the role of a fire marshal in leading emergency response teams and communicating with first responders.
• Conduct fire safety inspections and prepare comprehensive reports on findings.
• Gain an understanding of how fires start, spread, and the different classes of fire.
• Organize and carry out fire drills to ensure preparedness among occupants.
• Acquire basic first aid and rescue skills to assist in emergency situations related to fire incidents.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
