NEOM Green Hydrogen Project – Green Hydrogen Element – Marine Jetty Facilities
Scope
The scope of work includes all the following activities:
- A jetty for loading Liquid Ammonia (NH3) into ships, which is composed of Access Trestle Substructure and Superstructure, Piperack, Loading Platform, Breasting Dolphins, Mooring Dolphins, Walkways, and a Platform to accommodate a prefabricated blast proof safe haven Operator Building for 2 persons and Car Parking.
- Pipes transferring Liquid Ammonia from storage tanks to loading platform.
- A combined Substation & Control Building.
- Civil Works including Roads and Pavements, Signage and Marking, Car Parking and Utilities (such as Potable Water, Instrument Air, Service Air, Nitrogen, Fire Water, Sanitary System, Wastewater, Electrical Power Distribution, Road & Area Lighting and Cable Containment System for Telecommunication/PAGA).
- Shore Protection Works.
Process
A strict methodology was implemented to undertake the construction of a Liquid Ammonia loading jetty, comprising various components such as Access Trestle, Piperack, Loading Platform, and Utilities infrastructure. The methodology further ensured seamless integration, rigorous testing, and compliance with regulatory standards to deliver a robust and compliant facility.
