Velosi conducted an audit of the Inspection and Corrosion Management System (ICMS) at Borouge which followed a structured and comprehensive approach to ensure a thorough evaluation of the following key components.

Outcome
Velosi’s team of expert individuals successfully conducted an Audit and Review for the Inspection and Corrosion Management System of Borouge Plant Ruwais as per the company requirements and suggested implementing new approaches to enhance the plant’s productivity and integrity.

2۔ Corrosion Management System
- Review the company corrosion management plan against ADNOC codes of practice and internationally recognized standards.
- Review the corrosion risk assessment in place.
- Review existing corrosion management organization
- Review the methodologies used as integrity checks after any repair/replacement of components or equipment.
- Review of the existing corrosion data management and analysis
- Review the reporting process in place
- Review the performance monitoring and measuring system in place
- Review the evaluation process and audits in place for the CMS
3۔ Corrosion Mitigations/Measures and Controls
This shall include, not be limited to, the following reviews:
- Suitability of the applied corrosion mitigation programs.
- Adequacy of the applied mitigation programs.
- Efficiency monitoring of the applied corrosion mitigation programs.
- Corrosion data management and presentation.
4. Corrosion Monitoring
This shall include, but not be limited to the following reviews:
- Availability of the corrosion monitoring facilities
- Suitability of the available corrosion monitoring facilities
- Suitability of the locations of the corrosion monitoring system
- Suitability of the types of corrosion monitoring elements used
- Corrosion monitoring data management and presentation
The audit study included a document review, personnel interviews, and a physical site survey as part of the audit project.
