Saudi ARAMCO has awarded a contract to Velosi for the SIMOPS Study and Emergency Response Plan for their Offshore Platforms related to workover, producing and field services activities between NAWOD and RTPD organizations in Saudi Arabia.
The main objective is to keep on stream adjacent producer wells or keep them in operation while workover on the platform. This includes activities where two concurrent, simultaneous activities are planned near each other and/or any activity where one workgroup may affect the safety of the adjacent work group’s personnel, company assets, operation or other adjacent operating facility/field(s).
𝐕𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭;
• SIMOPS Plan which covers activities between NAWOD and RTPD in offshore field platforms (within the SIMOPS boundary).
• SIMOPS risk assessment and acceptable risk control measures are established
• Itemized breakdown list of all potential risks (following SMG 06-007), SIMOPS.
• SIMOPS Workshop to assess the involved organization’s activities with the presence of experienced individuals who are familiar with operational activities.
• Emergency Response Plan (ERP) for all 24 platforms including roles and responsibilities for SIMOPS.
• SIMOPS Workshop will develop the SIMOPS Matrix and the Plan is specific to the proposed operations and not a generic plan.
