Feed Study for Enhancement of the Safety Instrumented System as per SIL Rating GAP Analysis
A major fertilizer company assigned Velosi to perform a “FEED Study for Enhancement of the Safety Instrumented System as per SIL Rating Gap Analysis.”
The main objective of the project is to review the enhancement of the present design of the interlocks in order to fully comply with the SIL standards. The modifications include provisions of additional Transmitters, Shutdown valves, and Switches and the update of the tripping logics in DCS, ESD and PLC for enhancing the tripping interlocks wherever required as per the gap analysis.
As a result, Velosi will perform FEED Study along with final SIL verification for the updated loops. In addition to that, Velosi will prepare an invitation to bid (ITB) package for EPC along with budgetary estimates as per COMPANY requirements.
