Job Responsibilities
- Environmental Assessment: Develop and update the environmental impact assessment
- Reporting: Realization of Algerian regulatory studies, Environmental audits, Environmental impact assessments, waste management plans;
- Office-based for design reviews, but frequently visiting project sites for audits.
- Reports to the HSE lead in Algeria.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Ensure all technical studies and operational procedures comply with local, national, and international environmental and safety regulations.
- Certifications would be an asset.
As our ideal candidate, you should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environment, HSE, process, or related fields
- 1-2 years in a safety and environment role, preferably in oil & gas. Can accept a fresh graduate with strong motivation.
- Mastery of environmental audits.
- Knowledge of various environmental analysis methodologies (ENVID…);
- Familiar with the identification and assessment of environmental impacts.
- Familiar with waste management and environmental parameter sampling.
- Should be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must have excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
- Required languages: French and English in writing and speaking.
- Soft Skills: Rigor, strong communication, adaptability, and the ability to travel.
