Instrumented protected function (IPF) as a part of Continuous Reliability Program (PHASE 3) -YANBU
Velosi was hired by Hannover Consulting Engineers to perform design review of NG pipe network for construction of a building at Sector RBW-7, Plot C25, Al-Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi.
Objective
Marafiq decided to carry out Reliability Improvement Program for Power and Water Company in Yanbu, for intended safety and fit for purpose for the next 20 years.
Scope of Work
To carry out SIL study as per the following.
- Develop global IPF implementation plan for all MARAFIQ utilities/plants.
- Lead and Support the development of MARAFIQ IPF Engineering design practices, technical standards and IPF testing procedures
- Review the IPF Life cycle documents developed in phase2 in concurrence with the developed IPF Engineering practices in phase 3 and ensure that the documents meets all the required intend of IEC61511
- Provide IPF refresher training sessions for existing facilitators ensuring adherence to the methodology, the quality of delivery and continued facilitator development
- Review of SIL Classification & Verification Reports
- Validation of Gaps
Deliverables
Velosi successfully submitted the following deliverables:
- Develop global IPF implementation plan for all MARAFIQ utilities/plants.
- Development of MARAFIQ IPF Engineering design practices, technical standards and IPF testing procedures.
- Develop the IPF Life cycle documents as per IEC61508/61511
- Gap analysis report on existing SIL classification & verification reports
