There are different thermal storage tanks, which are to be constructed at Dubai Creek Harbor development district cooling plant, Dubai
TS Tank Contracting LLC is the main consultant hired to perform mechanical design of thermal storage tanks as per API 650. This includes the preparation of Mechanical Design Calculations, General Arrangement & Detail Drawings as per applicable code and Client specifications. Velosi reviewed the complete mechanical design to verify that all calculations and drawings are in line with the Client specifications and API 650.
Scope of Work
The scope of work included:
- Mechanical design calculation review of the thermal storage tank for shell, bottom & roof structure.
- Review of annular plate elastic analysis calculations.
- Review of wind load & wind girder calculations.
- Review of seismic & anchor bolts calculations.
- Review of venting calculation as per API 2000.
- Review of the General Arrangement & Detail drawings as per API 650 and client specifications.
- Review of the loading data for foundation design.
