We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Piping Draftsman/Designer with 10 to 12 years of experience in the design and drafting of piping systems for industrial or infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in 2D/3D CAD software, possess a good understanding of piping codes and standards, and be capable of independently producing piping layouts, isometrics, and bill of materials.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed piping layout drawings, isometric drawings, and pipe support drawings using AutoCAD, CADWorx, Plant 3D, or similar software.
  • Develop and update P&IDs, plot plans, general arrangements (GAs), and fabrication drawings.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, civil, electrical, and process teams to ensure alignment and clash-free design.
  • Interpret engineering specifications, piping material specifications (PMS), and vendor drawings.
  • Participate in design reviews, model walk-throughs, and site surveys as required.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).
  • Generate material take-offs (MTOs) and assist with procurement documentation.
  • Implement design changes and revisions as per project requirements and mark-ups.
  • Maintain documentation and revision control in line with company standards and QA/QC procedures.

As our ideal candidate, you should have:

  • DAE and certification in drafting.
  • 10 to 12 years of experience in piping drafting/designing.
  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, 3D, etc.).
  • Familiar with usage of MS office (Word and Excel)
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, API, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Skilled in creating 2D and 3D piping drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
  • Interpret piping specifications, P&IDs, and other engineering documents.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure design accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain piping drawing templates and standards.
  • Review and verify drawings for accuracy and completeness.
  • Update drawings based on design changes and revisions.
