Job Responsibilities
- Review and Interpret P&ID and plant process diagrams.
- Good working knowledge of major rotating equipment e.g. Gas Compressor, Air Compressor, Hydrocarbon Pumps, Gas/Steam Turbines, and cooling fans etc.
- Review and prepare and update maintenance practices in line with international standards and best industrial practices.
- Prepare detailed maintenance plans for equipment overhaul, inspection, preventive maintenance for Major Rotating Equipment.
- Prepare maintainable items / spare parts lists for maintenance of Rotating Machinery.
- Review failure history of equipment and perform root cause analysis of equipment failure and outages.
- Perform Equipment Reliability analysis as per international standards.
- Prepare / review Request for Quotations, Scope of Work, Technical specifications and datasheets of Mechanical Equipment.
- Assist the proposal and estimation team while providing the bill of materials, engineering cost and resolving the queries asked by client related to technical offers.
- Develop in-house, excel sheets in accordance with different codes/specifications/engineering practices.
- Solve the design verification problems with Clients and Venders and attend all the design meetings.
- Comply with all relevant Velosi Quality and HSE procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
As our ideal candidate, you should have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B. Eng).
- Minimum 5 Years of Experience in Rotating equipment maintenance in oil and gas sector downstream or upstream.
- Operational experience in any oil and gas related plant or offshore platform will be an advantage.
- Experience in Preventive and Predictive Maintenance.
- Able to analyze and interpret maintenance and inspection reports.
- Good working knowledge of major rotating equipment e.g. Gas Compressor, Air Compressor, Hydrocarbon Pumps, Gas/Steam Turbines and cooling fans etc.
- Working knowledge of static equipment e.g. tanks, exchangers, vessels and PSVs etc.
- Proficient with international codes and standards specifically the oil and gas industry i.e. API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, ISA, etc. (SAE JA 1011/12 shall be preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills, a team player and able to work with all levels of management and multinational staff.
- Can build effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
- Software skills and well familiar with MS Office tools.
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
