We are seeking a meticulous and highly qualified Inspection Engineer (Lifting Equipment) to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, compliance, and structural integrity of various lifting equipment, gears, and appliances.
The ideal candidate must hold a valid LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) certification and possess a deep understanding of international lifting standards and safety regulations. You will play a critical role in minimizing operational risks and ensuring our clients operations run safely and efficiently
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct statutory periodic inspections, testing, and certification of lifting equipment, loose lifting gear, cranes, forklifts, and offshore containers in accordance with local regulations and international standards..
- Identify, record, and report any defects, structural weaknesses, or non-compliances. Issue certificates of fitness or prohibition notices as required.
- Witness and supervise proof load testing procedures, ensuring all safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Compile accurate, detailed, and timely inspection reports and certificates using asset management software.
As our ideal candidate, you should have:
Mandatory Requirement: Must hold a valid LEEA Part 1 (Foundation)
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: Minimum of [1+] years of hands-on experience in the inspection and testing of lifting equipment.
- NDT Qualifications (Preferred): ASNT Level II in Non-Destructive Testing methods, specifically Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), is a major plus.
- Standards Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of LOLER, PUWER, ASME, and other relevant regional statutory regulations.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions.
