As a crucial aspect of risk-based process safety management, Bowtie analysis enables organizations to create visual representations of the causal pathway that relate consequences of a certain hazard with its potential causes and prevention measures. The product of this process is a diagram whose shape looks like a men’s bowtie, hence the name. Using visual diagrams, Bow-Tie is a powerful tool for communicating risks in an organization.  

This Velosi Bow Tie Risk Management training course provides an in-depth understanding of the BowTie methodology, examines the various bowtie analysis components, and introduces practical tips and best practices. Participants in the training will also have the opportunity to practice applying the techniques to analyse risks in their organization using the leading software BowTieXP.

By completing this course, participants will be able to:

• understand how BowTie fits into risk management and HSE management system,
• understand the methods and concepts of the BowTie risk management,
• analyze hazards using the BowTie method and BowTie diagram, and
• develop integrity assurance for BowTie barriers.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
