The objective of the Project is to review, validate, and vet the existing structural and electrical designs related to solar panel installation on PSO canopy structures. This includes verifying and, wherever needed, amending the design to provision a PV system at retail outlets.

Velosi’s team of expert individuals will successfully perform activities within the scope of work assigned.

The scope of work covers:

  1. Structural Design Vetting
    • Review standard design documentation for canopy foundations and steel superstructure across different configurations (l-shape, L-shape, T-shape).
    • Examine structural drawings, design calculations, and confirm uniform application across future sites.
    • Conduct structural assessment considering additional loads from solar PV systems and cleaning structures.
    • Apply relevant codes (UBC, AISC, Eurocode) for evaluation of wind, seismic, and other environmental loads.
    • Assess and recommend on the fiber sheet if it could replace the existing steel sheets.
  1. Load Assessment for Solar Integration
    • Evaluate canopy load capacity under:
      • Static and dynamic loads from PV modules, cable trays, and inverter mounts
