Velosi Integrity & Safety Pakistan has been awarded a contract by Pak Arab Refinery Limited to conduct an External Inspection of the Buried Sump Tank.

The objective of the Project is to perform an 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐩 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐤, which involves specified activities within the scope of work assigned.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐬:
1. Visual and Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI)
Conduct a visual inspection of the exposed tank surfaces to identify any signs of coating failure, such as blistering, cracking, peeling, or rust.

2. Utilize Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT) on the shell and dish end. Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), or Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT), specifically used on welding T-joints to evaluate the integrity of the tank.

3. Measure the Dry Film Thickness (DFT) of the existing coating using a calibrated DFT meter.

𝐕𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢’𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝.
