Refinery Selective HAZOP & SIL (Safety Integrity Level) Assessment Studies
Velosi has been granted a project by PARCO to carry out Refinery Selective HAZOP & SIL (Safety Integrity Level) Assessment Studies for the Crude Distillation Unit and Vacuum Distillation Unit at the Mid-Country Refinery (MCR). MCR is one of the largest operational refineries in Pakistan and encompasses critical refining processes.
The main objective of Velosi’s scope of work is to conduct HAZOP and SIL studies, which involve a comprehensive analysis aimed at identifying potential operational hazards with the potential to cause significant safety, environmental, or financial repercussions.
The technical team from Velosi will deliver the following outcomes:
- HAZOP Workshop Report: A comprehensive report detailing the findings and recommendations resulting from the HAZOP workshop.
- SIL Classification Report: A report outlining the Safety Integrity Level classification of the refinery units based on their potential risks.
- SIL Verification Report: A report validating the Safety Integrity Level of the identified safety measures.
Velosi’s specialists will adhere to internationally recognized standards, including BS IEC-61882, IEC 61508, and IEC 61511, throughout the assessment process.
