Velosi is conducting a free webinar on “The Fundamentals of Pressure Vessel Design in Accordance with ASME Section VIII-Div1” on Sunday, 28th April 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm GST (Dubai Time).
Learning Objectives
Pressure vessels are containers designed to hold liquids, vapors or gases at high pressures, usually above 15 psig. Common examples in the petroleum refining and chemical processing industries include columns, heat exchangers and boilers.
Pressure vessels can be dangerous if not properly designed, constructed, maintained or inspected. Most pressure vessels operating in industries today are designed according to the ASME BPVC Section VIII, which consists of standard codes & rules that a manufacturer is required to follow.
In this webinar, a practical case study will be presented covering the following key aspects:
- Structure of the ASME Section VIII Div.1.
- Application of code in designing and calculating main components of pressure vessels.
- Basic understanding of design specifications, design reports and datasheets.
Certificate
- The certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the webinar.
