Velosi is conducting online training for Permit to work (Job performance) Course.
In spite of great improvements in workplace health and safety in recent decades, millions of injuries still occur in workplaces around the world every year. To minimize the risk of injuries and accidents, especially when carrying out high-risk jobs, many organizations apply a Permit to work (PTW) system. However, the existence of a PTW system does not guarantee that a job is safe. To ensure that the PTW system is effective, every worker must fully understand their roles, be competent and committed enough to prepare PTWs properly, and always follow the precautions in the PTWs.
This Velosi Permit to work (Job performance) course, ideally taken after the Velosi Permit to work (Awareness/ Understanding) course, looks at the PTW process from the point of view of those who carry out a high-risk job and must prepare the PTW for it. The course will explain what type of high-risk activities may require a PTW, how to prepare a permit properly, and how to follow it consistently in a practical context.
-
By completing this course, participants will be able to:
- identify which types of work which require a PTW,
- understand what duties supervisors and workers have under permits,
- know what personnel must do before and after permits are issued, and
- know what to do when performing the job with a permit is in place.
-
Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.

This is a one-day course from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Dubai Time)
