Activities such as maintenance, cleaning or repair of a piece of equipment of machinery always carry with them high risks of accidents and injuries. To minimize the risks involved with such tasks and prevent accidental release of energy, it is necessary for organizations to develop an Energy Isolation Procedure outlining a set of predetermined steps that should be followed. More importantly, the personnel involved need to be properly trained so that they are able to apply the correct isolation procedures as well as check if the equipment has been safely isolated prior to job performance.

This Velosi Isolation Confirmation Awareness Training aims at raising the awareness of participants to ensure that they understand the isolation requirements and can implement them on site. It will inform participants of circumstances where isolation is required, what considerations they account for with regards to energy isolation, and how to verify whether proper isolations have already been completed before carrying out the jobs.

By completing this course, participants will be able to:

• identify sources of energy,
• understand energy control procedures,
• follow energy isolation procedures and Lockout/ Tagout procedures correctly, and
• check and confirm whether proper isolations are in place before performing jobs.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
