  • Velosi is conducting Certified Electrical Safety Program – Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) in-person. in accordance with the NFPA 70E.

    This course equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to implement and maintain Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for controlling hazardous energy during servicing and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment. The training covers OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147 and international standards, focusing on hazard identification, energy isolation methods, proper use of LOTO devices, and verification techniques to prevent accidental energy release and equipment start-up.

  • By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

    • Understand the purpose and importance of Lockout/Tagout in preventing injuries and fatalities.
    • Identify types of hazardous energy (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.).
    • Apply OSHA and relevant international LOTO standards and regulations.
    • Perform step-by-step LOTO procedures including shutdown, isolation, lock/tag application, and verification.
    • Select and use appropriate LOTO devices for different energy sources.
    • Develop and maintain an effective energy control program for their facility.
    • Recognize roles and responsibilities of authorized, affected, and other employees.
    • Conduct periodic inspections and audits of LOTO procedures.
  • Training will be conducted in-person / Face to Face.
