  • Velosi is conducting online training for Power System Analysis Using ETAP.

The ETAP Power System Analysis Training is designed to equip engineers, technicians, and power system professionals with practical knowledge and hands-on skills in utilizing ETAP software for the design, simulation, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems. This comprehensive course covers essential modules including load flow analysis, short circuit studies, motor starting, protective device coordination, and arc flash hazard assessment. Participants will gain valuable experience through real-world case studies and guided exercises, enabling them to confidently apply ETAP tools for reliable and efficient power system performance.

  • After completion of Power System Analysis using ETAP Training course, an individual certified to Level 2 will be able to::

    • Understand ETAP software fundamentals — Install, configure, and navigate ETAP tools, settings, and options for efficient use.
    • Design and model electrical networks — Create and analyze LV and MV power system models, including transformer, generator, and cable sizing.
    • Perform load flow analysis — Conduct balanced and unbalanced load flow studies to evaluate voltage profiles, power factor, and system losses.
    • Apply international standards — Integrate IEC, ANSI, and relevant standards in power system design and analysis, including solar PV modelling.
    • Carry out short circuit and fault analysis — Analyze symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults for both single-phase and three-phase systems.
    • Conduct arc flash studies — Perform arc flash hazard analysis and generate safety reports in compliance with industry standards.
    • Simulate motor starting and dynamic performance — Analyze motor starting methods (DOL, ASD, soft starter, VFD) and perform transient stability studies.
    • Develop protection and coordination schemes — Configure protection device settings, including DMT/IDMT curves, and model relays such as overcurrent, earth fault, directional overcurrent, differential, and reverse power relays.
    • Generate professional reports — Produce detailed ETAP reports for design validation, safety compliance, and operational decision-making.
    • Apply concepts through case studies — Solve real-world power system challenges using ETAP through guided examples and case studies.
  • Training will be conducted online.

  • 4 days from 08:00 PM to 10:00 PM (Pakistan Time)

    • Presentation Slides
    • Study References
  • Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of training.
