Shell Pakistan has awarded Velosi a project to perform a Building Integrity Assessment for structures in Clifton, Karachi, Pakistan.
The objective of the integrity assessment is to evaluate and analyze the existing structures based on the latest concrete strength. The analysis will be conducted in accordance with relevant codes to ensure that the structures are capable of supporting both existing loads and seismic loads, with all necessary calculations.
Velosi’s civil team will collect on-site data to prepare detailed as-built structural drawings. They will conduct non-destructive and destructive testing on structural members to assess the current strength and condition of the materials. After gathering all data through fieldwork, laboratory testing, and client-provided information, a 3D structural model will be created using the as-built drawings and simulation software. This model will be used to assess the structural performance under gravity and seismic loads, as well as the foundation’s response to all load parameters.
Finally, a report will be prepared based on the findings and software analysis, highlighting any defects and providing recommended remedial measures.
