The purpose of a risk assessment is to identify existing and potential hazards in the workplace and mitigate them by applying control measures or eliminate them where possible. Proper risk assessment plays a crucial role in avoiding and reducing workplace injuries to people and associated costs to businesses.

The Velosi Risk Assessment Working Knowledge Training Course builds on the basics obtained through the Risk Assessment General Awareness course and is designed to prepare participants to conduct effective risk assessments in their place of work. It provides participants with a real-world approach to risk assessment by equipping them with up-to-date knowledge, best industry practices and step-by-step guidance on how to conduct risk assessments in a systematic, thorough, and professional way.

By completing this course, participants will be able to:

• understand the legislative requirements for workplace risk assessment,
• understand the 5-step approach to risk assessment,
• design and determine the effectiveness of hazard controls, and
• conduct effective risk assessments of their workplaces.

Training will be conducted via Microsoft Team Meeting, online. Meeting invites will be shared on the day before the first day of training.
